Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care

Access Team

Full time locum contract

£30.34p/h

Located across Havering Borough / Hybrid working - minimum 2 days per week in the office

Our Local Authority Client are recruiting an Occupational Therapist to support their Access Team for a locum contract initially, based in Havering.

The team manages urgent or immediate, as well as short-term referrals, urgent manual handling and scheduled or unscheduled reviews of all equipment.

Key responsibilities:

Conduct holistic, strengths-based, and person-centred assessments to achieve positive outcomes for individuals and carers.
Deliver asset-based interventions to help individuals maximise their abilities and independence.
Manage caseloads, applying specialist knowledge for assessments, care planning, and safeguarding.
Fulfill statutory duties under relevant legislation (Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act).Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Knowledge of various legislations (e.g. Care Act 2014, Equality legislations, Mental health Act, safeguarding and making safeguarding personal, and clinical reasoning for equipment etc.
