Are you a skilled and enthusiastic DT Technician looking for your next exciting role? Tradewind has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and proactive Design and Technology Technician to join a forward-thinking school in Rotherham. This is a full-time, immediate-start position where you will support the teaching of DT and ensure smooth running of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for Design and Technology lessons, assisting students and teachers with the use of equipment and materials.
Maintain and repair equipment and resources in the DT department to ensure they are safe and functional.
Prepare materials and tools for practical lessons, ensuring everything is set up efficiently for smooth classroom activities.
Ensure health and safety regulations are met in the workshop and classroom, adhering to all relevant guidelines.
Assist in classroom management, providing guidance to students during practical sessions and ensuring a safe learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience as a DT Technician in a school or similar environment (preferably with exposure to woodwork, metalwork, and CAD equipment).
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workshop and the ability to ensure compliance.
A proactive and problem-solving attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Excellent organisational skills and a keen eye for detail.
A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK.
