Our client is a leading manufacturing business based in Exeter and due to ongoing growth of the business they need a EHS Coordinator to join the team. The ideal candidate will be someone who’s enthusiastic about taking on a challenging but rewarding role whilst ensuring the facility is compliant with both UK legislation and company standards for environment, health, and safety.
EHS Coordinator
Requirements needed for this position:
* Experience of working in an industrial engineering or manufacturing background (and working with ISO management systems)
* NEBOSH Certificate
* A proven EHS professional able to communicate, work, and influence effectively and efficiently at all levels of the business.
* Good working knowledge of UK environment, health, and safety legislation
* Ability to design and deliver technical training.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Awareness of Human Performance processes and role in safety management
* Ability to negotiate and influence the actions and decisions of others.
EHS Coordinator
Key Duties
* To design and deliver technical training, such as general toolbox talks, permit writing, FLT training and BA training.
* To assist with internal and external auditing processes, including support for internal corporate audits.
* To be an active member of site emergency team, giving leadership and onsite attendance where required.
* Maintenance of H&S Legal Register.
* To complete and review risk assessments and safe systems of work in accordance with current legislation and company standards.
* To engage with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and enforcement agencies.
