Role Overview

As an AV Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of sophisticated AV projects across commercial office spaces in the UK. Whether you’re a seasoned AV Project Manager or a Senior/Lead AV Engineer looking to step up, this role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical knowledge in a leadership position. You will be responsible for coordinating AV installations, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the timely and successful execution of each project.

You’ll work directly with clients, designers, and on-site teams, translating client visions into actionable plans that deliver both on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership: Oversee AV project planning and implementation for workplace fit-outs, ensuring all deliverables align with client expectations, timelines, and specifications.
Client Engagement: Serve as the main point of contact for clients and project stakeholders, translating their AV needs into detailed project plans and managing expectations throughout.
Team Coordination: Lead and support engineering teams during installations, providing guidance on technical challenges, ensuring quality control, and fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
Technical Oversight: Leverage your AV expertise to support system design, configuration, and optimisation, ensuring seamless performance for video conferencing, audio distribution, and digital displays within the finished workspace.
Quality and Compliance: Ensure all installations meet industry standards and safety protocols, performing final inspections to guarantee the quality and functionality of the AV systems.
Documentation and Reporting: Manage project documentation, including site reports, risk assessments, compliance records, and project updates for transparency and accountability.
Resource and Logistics Management: Coordinate equipment, inventory, and scheduling to keep projects on track and within budget, minimising downtime and maximising efficiency.
Process Improvement: Contribute to refining installation processes and implementing best practices to continuously enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
Person Specification

Experience: Proven experience in AV project management within commercial and workplace fit-out environments, or a strong background as a Senior or Lead AV Engineer ready to transition into project management.
Leadership Skills: Strong team leadership with the ability to guide, support, and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results, even under tight timelines.
Client-Centric Approach: Excellent communication skills, with a focus on understanding client requirements, building trust, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Acumen: In-depth knowledge of AV systems, including video conferencing, audio distribution, and digital signage, with the capability to troubleshoot and provide technical guidance.
Highly Organised: Skilled in project documentation and time management, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Adaptability: Comfortable with dynamic project requirements, able to work in fast-paced environments, and open to a flexible work schedule as needed.
