The Role

If yes, look no further - join us as a Fraud Officer where you’ll play a key role in tackling fraud within the Social Housing sector
This is a new role we’re introducing to our Assurance, Risk and Transactions team which will strengthen our investigatory capabilities across the organisation, as well as building strong relationships with local authorities and other Housing Associations. The Housing environment in which we operate is complex, fast-paced and continually evolving, which makes this role equally varied and interesting
As the Fraud Officer you’ll be responsible for:
* Leading, coordinating and resolving fraud investigations, providing outcomes and making appropriate recommendations to the business.
* Developing and implementing practices and procedures for dealing with Housing fraud.
* Developing and delivering fraud prevention strategies.
* Establishing and maintaining networks with local authorities and other Housing Associations to share best practice.
* Championing and promoting fraud awareness across Midland Heart.

Our ideal candidate: We’re seeking a self-motivated and credible professional with the following skills and experience:
* You’ll have experience of undertaking thorough fraud investigations - experience within the Housing sector is preferred, but not essential.
* You’ll have experience of producing robust investigation, outcomes and recommendation reports.
* You’ll have experience of presenting complex information to a variety of audiences, with the ability to influence and persuade.
* You’ll have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders/agencies to deliver successful outcomes.
As a Smart Working organisation, you can expect a balance of working from the office (Birmingham, Bath Row) and from home - typically, a minimum of 3 days per week working from the office is expected but this may vary dependent on business needs.
