Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of electrical systems for water and wastewater projects, from conception through to construction phase.

Key Responsibilities

* Work within a multi-disciplinary team on projects focusing primarily on water & wastewater M&E capital and growth projects

* Support Project Managers with knowledge to complete electrical design and project engineering deliverables

* Attend and contribute to internal and external design review and progress meetings

* Participate in design coordination with other engineering disciplines and professionals

* Perform electrical engineering calculations, including load calculations and power system analysis

* Create electrical engineering drawings, including single-line diagrams, control schematics, and panel layouts

* Review specifications and designs against industry standards and electrical codes

* Produce engineering reports and feasibility studies

* Develop risk assessments and method statements

* Engage in continual professional development, including pursuing professional registration (actively supported by the company)

Qualifications and Skills

* Preferably an Electrical Engineering Degree / HND / HNC or equivalent in electrical engineering or related discipline

* Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint

* Experience in electrical design development for clean / wastewater non-infrastructure is desirable

* Previous utility industry knowledge and experience is beneficial but not essential

* Proven ability to work within a team environment with a dedicated approach to meet project deadlines

Preferred Skills

* Experience with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN)

* Familiarity with water and wastewater treatment processes and electrical equipment

* Knowledge of relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
