Brickwork Assessor at a Leading College in East Yorkshire

Role Type: Full-Time, ongoing temporary (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
Rate: £30 per hour + Holiday pay, PAYE (equivalent to approximately £58,000 per annum)

About the Role
A reputable Further Education college in East Yorkshire is looking for an experienced Brickwork / Bricklaying Assessor to support brickwork apprentices and students. This role will allow you to help students achieve essential qualifications and develop valuable skills for the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments for Level 3 bricklaying qualifications, both at the college and in workplace settings.
Develop assessment plans, collaborating with students and employers to ensure meaningful progress.
Monitor, document, and provide feedback on student performance to help them meet qualification requirements.
Ensure standards are met through practical and theoretical assessments.
Keep accurate records, submit evidence in line with college requirements, and participate in quality assurance processes.
Build relationships with local employers to support student placements and training.
Essential Requirements

Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 in Bricklaying and an Assessor Award (e.g., A1 or equivalent).
Experience: Previous experience in construction, ideally with practical and theoretical assessment.
Licence: Valid UK driving licence required for workplace assessments.
Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate students effectively.
