Siemens Healthineers MR Magnet Technology is the world's leading designer and manufacturer of superconducting magnets for magnetic resonance imaging. We install our MR Imaging Systems in our customers' hospitals/medical facilities throughout the world. This is a role for an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an Installation Service Engineer you will play a key role in ensuring that our magnets are set up and calibrated ready for our customers to use on time and to our defined quality standards.

You'll be responsible for the start up of systems across GB&I, working closely with the Start Up team in Erlangen, Germany. You may be required to support installations globally to support the wider team on an occasional basis.

Please note this role reports to the St artup Team Lead in Erlangen, Germany. You will also work in close contact with your in-country manager at Siemens Magnet Technology in Oxford, UK.

To give you an idea of how this role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

Ensure the effective startup and calibration of MRI systems installations across GB&I, effectively managing site situations
To communicate and escalate technical issues and delays, solving issues and providing solutions
Keeping installation projects on schedule
Ensuring that our installation projects are delivered to our quality standards
Startups are completed in accordance with factory instructions and specifications
Troubleshoot technical problems and repair 'out of the box' failures
To apply for this Installation Service Engineer role, you will need relevant experience along with a recognised engineering apprenticeship, NVQ, and BTEC.

You will also require the following:

Knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision
A proven previous experience with the desired Medical Imaging Equipment: MR Modality
You have the ability and experience to establish and maintain solid business relationships with peers, as well as perform necessary administrative duties timely and accurately
You have a strong background working with electronics and are proficient in the use of service tools and service test equipment.
I.T applications - understanding and ability to use standard business software (Microsoft Office) proficiently. Ability to learn and implement new skills and applications as required for the role
Highly efficient, self-motivated, results-driven organiser and facilitator.
Communication skills - clear communication at all levels across the business, both internally and externally. Ability to lead and proactively participate in open discussion and to present in a logical and structured manner.
Structured thinking - make informed decisions from analysis of complex information, drawing valid conclusions.
