About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our team in Birmingham on a permanent early shift. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) to the highest safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HGVs, trailers, and associated equipment.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults effectively.
Complete safety inspections, servicing, and MOT preparation in line with DVSA standards.
Carry out breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime.
Accurately document all work undertaken using company systems.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, or HGV Fitter.
A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret technical data.
A valid UK Driving Licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 is highly desirable but not essential).
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
Benefits:
