The majority of projects will involve the construction of new supermarkets for a leading retailer, so prior experience in this sector will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the full lifecycle of construction projects, focusing primarily on supermarket builds.
* Oversee all phases of construction, from initial planning and budgeting through to project completion.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining the highest safety standards.
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
* Regularly report on project progress, risks, and any necessary adjustments to stakeholders.
* Ensure adherence to specific construction and quality standards.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably with experience in supermarket or retail builds.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and health & safety regulations.
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Flexibility - This position will require working Nationwide as well as some periods working away from home.
