Job Title: External Funding Bid Writer (Remote, temp contract)

Hours: Full-Time (37 hours per week) or Part-Time (4 days per week)
Pay Rate: £21.98 per hour (PAYE) | £29.93 per hour (Umbrella)
Special Conditions:
* Evening work may be required to meet customer needs.
* Casual car allowance is payable.
* Home working permitted in line with company procedures.
About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled External Funding Bid Writer to support their ambitious vision of delivering value-driven services to the community. You will play a critical role in securing significant external funding, ensuring the client achieves its strategic objectives. This is a remote role offering flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the client’s growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
* Draft and implement an External Funding Strategy aligned with the client’s priorities.
* Identify and pursue funding opportunities from government bodies, trusts, and other agencies.
* Lead bid submissions, ensuring high-quality, timely applications that secure significant funding.
* Establish and manage an External Funding Group to foster collaboration and resource-sharing across departments.
* Build strong relationships with the Voluntary, Private, and Commercial sectors, both locally and beyond.
* Ensure compliance with funding requirements, managing grant procedures and ensuring timely reporting and monitoring.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven success in developing and delivering high-value funding bids.
* Strong understanding of funding streams related to Economic Development and Regeneration.
* Exceptional grant writing, negotiation, and project management skills.
* Experience in securing match funding and working within political environments.
* Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
* Proficient in IT, with strong numerical and budgeting skills.
Qualifications:
* Degree-level education or equivalent experience in relevant fields.
* Relevant qualification in funding or project management (e.g., IOF, AMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
