Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (dependent on experience)

SRG are working with a global chemical manufacturer who are leaders in several speciality and high-performance chemical markets. They are now hiring a Samples Despatch Assistant to join the laboratory team on a permanent basis, at their site in Warrington. This role will be pivotal for commercial and experimental sample requests and coordinating activities related to despatch and follow up. With a high number of samples being despatched every year, prospective candidates should hold experience in coordinating the organisation and shipment of chemical samples and be disciplined and structured in their workflow.

Role / Description

Organise chemical sample inventory to ensure samples are readily identifiable and accessible.
Act as the main point of contact for commercial sample requests.
Ensure commercial samples are despatched to agreed timescales.
Accurately record all sample despatch records according to procedures.
Ensure adequate stocks of samples are maintained in the warehouse and laboratory.
Report sample despatch statistics to the laboratory manager on monthly basis.

Requirements

A-level or HND (or equivalent) in science, preferably chemistry.
Proven experience in organising and shipment of chemical samples.
Knowledge and experience of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) is desirable but not essential.
Proficiency in using Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to multi-task and to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
