Role and Responsibilities:

As a Science Teacher in Colchester, you will:

Deliver high-quality science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, fostering curiosity and scientific inquiry.
Address individual student needs to ensure no child is left behind, working to close any gaps in prior knowledge.
Engage students with practical and theoretical knowledge, preparing them for future academic success.
Collaborate with the school's teaching team to develop cohesive and inclusive lesson plans that reflect our commitment to equity.
Support the school's mission to offer a rigorous, coherent curriculum that provides every student in Colchester with a strong foundation in science.

Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or a strong interest in teaching science at the secondary level.
Passionate Science Teacher who understands the importance of adapting to different starting points and needs in the classroom.
Committed to delivering a curriculum that provides true equity and opportunity for all students.
Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach to fostering student engagement and curiosity.
