A fast growing managed IT service provider in Stoke on Trent is seeking a full-time 2nd Line IT Support Technician to provide remote technical support to clients, as well as monitor IT systems and troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.

As the 2nd Line IT Support Technician, your responsibilities will include:

Supporting clients remotely or over the phone, identifying and resolving technical issues promptly and professionally.
Setting up, configuring and installing a variety of hardware and software.
Ensuring security upgrades and antivirus installations are applied and kept up to date.
Fault finding, troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software issues.
Logging faults, raising support tickets and escalating issues to 3rd line support where necessary.
Providing ad-hoc administrative and on-site support to Senior Engineers.   
The 2nd Line IT Support Technician will have the following skills and experience:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-focus.
Good working knowledge of Networking, Windows OS, Microsoft (Outlook, Exchange, Office 365), Active Directory, Servers, Cloud based applications, Firewalls and connectivity solutions is essential.
Microsoft certified professional or similar IT qualification is desirable.
Previous experience working in a 1st or 2nd line support within a MSP environment would be a distinct advantage.
Full UK driving licence as travel to client sites may be required.   
You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from the Stoke office.
  
Appointment is subject to satisfactory references and right to work checks.
