About the Role:

Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a 1:1 Support Worker in a special needs school in Leeds. This role involves providing personalized support to a child with autism, helping them navigate their school day and engage in learning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 support to a child with autism throughout the school day.
Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the child is engaged and participating.
Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the child's needs.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
Monitor and record the child's progress and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers.Requirements:

Experience working with children with autism or other special needs.
Strong understanding of autism and strategies to support children with autism.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field are desirable.
