Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, your responsibilities will include the below;
* Evaluate current production activities and make recommendations for improvements.
* Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials.
* Seek quotes for prices of component parts, services or machines.
* Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
* Responsible for producing factory lay-out and floorplan using AutoCAD or similar.
* Responsible for maintaining work centres, cost centres and machine capacity available times on ERP.
* Analyse factory output and operator efficiencies to improve output.
* Maintain company standard times for future costing and current efficiency output.
* Identify factory bottlenecks to increase throughput.
* Create, develop and release Standardised Work Instructions.
* Participate in PFMEA, control plan and APQP activities.
Skills & Experience:
To excel as a Manufacturing Engineer, you will need:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or industrial engineering role.
* Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD or similar).
* Experience with lean manufacturing principles and standardized working methods.
* A minimum of an HND qualification in a mechanical engineering discipline is highly desirable.
