Cover Supervisor - Doncaster

Are you looking to take your first step into teaching?

Have you previously worked with young people and want to gain hands-on, paid experience in a classroom?

Academics are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor in Doncaster to start working with our client partner schools as soon as possible on a temp-to-perm contract.

Academics are one of the UK's largest, leading education recruitment agencies offering a daily rate of £90 - £120 per day depending on your experience in the role and the requirements.

The role of a Cover Supervisor is perfect for someone who is degree-level trained and considering a career in teaching. It also suits individuals with experience working with children or teenagers previously in settings such as tutoring, summer camps, youth work, or extracurricular clubs for example. This position allows you to work directly in schools, gaining valuable classroom experience whislt being paid.

Supervise and cover pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
Ensure students are engaged and set high expectations to promote positive learning.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy, creating a safe and productive learning environment.
Communicate with staff members; report on student progress and pass on important messages.
Uphold the school's safeguarding policy - safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.The ideal candidate for this role will:

Have strong communication skills.
Be flexible, adaptable, and able to use their initiative.
Work well as part of a team.
Be reliable, punctual, and professional in their approach.
