About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a new highways project in the Kettering area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with principal contractors and extensive knowledge of temporary works management.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing the delivery of a highways project, ensuring it is completed on time and within budget.
Managing and coordinating all site activities in line with project requirements.
Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Liaising with the client, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Managing temporary works and ensuring all associated risks are mitigated.
Monitoring progress and reporting on project performance to senior management.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager on highways or civil engineering projects.
Strong understanding of principal contractor duties and responsibilities.
Demonstrable knowledge of temporary works coordination and management.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
SMSTS, CSCS (Manager level), and Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor certification (desirable).
Full UK driving licence.What We Offer:
