We are currently seeking a compassionate and committed SEN TA to join a vibrant and supportive Secondary School based on the outskirts of South Gloucestershire.  This a fulltime role to start in January and will continue for the whole of the academic year.

The school is a large  secondary school, known for its welcoming atmosphere, it has a collaborative and diverse culture and staff enjoy a lively workplace where diversity and inclusion are celebrated, creating a positive and supportive environment for students and team members alike. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with students with autism, helping them to thrive in their school environment.

About the Role:

Student Support: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with autism, and additional needs helping them navigate both academic and social aspects of school life.
Classroom Assistance: Work alongside teachers and the SENDco to adapt and implement learning strategies tailored to individual needs.
Positive Reinforcement: Use positive behavior management techniques to encourage engagement and build students' confidence.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to provide holistic support and ensure each student’s unique needs are met.
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have proven experience supporting students with autism, ideally in an educational setting.
Be familiar with sensory, behavioral, and communication strategies that support students with autism.
Hold Team Teach training, or be open to complete training provided by the school.
Show patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
