Job Title: Senior Flight Systems Engineer
Location: Warton (Onsite requirement 2-3 days per week)
Salary: £47,683 - £ 52,426 dependant on skills and experience / Permanent Position

What you'll be doing:

Producing and issuing Flight Systems engineering data to meet project requirements in line with agreed standards and procedures, whilst maintaining quality, cost and schedule adherence
Liaising with other engineering and project areas in a collaborative environment to develop engineering solutions
Performing engineering tasks dependent on lifecycle phase which could include requirements development, system and equipment design and development, modeling and analysis, system integration, qualification and certification, and testing
Writing specifications, reports and proposalsEssential Skills:

Degree / HND or equivalent experience or qualifications in relevant STEM subject (Aeronautical / Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering/Physics/Maths/Science)
Demonstrable knowledge of the System Engineering lifecycle with ability to apply good systems engineering practices to your work
Demonstrated experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Fluid Systems Engineering, preferably in an Aerospace application or in a similar engineering or technology focussed industry (Nuclear, Rail Automotive or Academia)Desirable:

Electrical power generation and distribution, thermal management / environmental control systems, flying controls, hydraulics, landing gear, fuel, crew systems (life support / crew escape / aircrew protective equipment), propulsion integration or systems health management
Model-based systems engineering principles, tools and techniques
Vehicle control system design, and modeling and simulation of both classical and advanced control systems
Experience in designing, developing and supporting Flight Systems products in an engineering environment.
Knowledge and experience of system modeling and simulation toolsets
