Job Description

The post holder will sit on the board with the Managing Director, Finance Director and Human Resources Director, leading a small sales team and drive revenue growth. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase market share.

Technical Sales Management

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets.
• Identify and target potential clients (UK and International)
• Understand client requirements and present suitable solutions.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.

Project Oversight:

• Oversee projects from initiation to completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
• Monitor project progress and resolve issues to ensure successful project delivery.

Technical Expertise:

• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology.
• Provide technical support to sales teams and clients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
• Collaborate with the R&D team to align sales strategies with product development efforts.

Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare regular sales and project status reports for management review.
• Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
• Provide insights and recommendations to optimize sales and project performance.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and customer support, to ensure seamless collaboration and customer satisfaction.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Skills & Experience:

* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

* Proven experience in contract wins

* Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
