Warehouse Supervisor 4 on 4 off, 6am - 6pm

Chilled warehouse in Spalding

£13 per hour
3 x 30 minute breaks (1 unpaid) per shift
Start Monday 16th September
Temp to Perm role

Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations in our clients chilled warehouse located in Spalding. The role involves leading a cross-generational workforce in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that shift goals are met, and that health and safety standards are maintained.

The ideal candidate will be confident in managing a diverse team, possess a valid PPT (Powered Pallet Truck) licence, and have a proven track record of running efficient and productive shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Shift Management: Lead and manage warehouse staff during 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm), maintaining operational flow and productivity in line with business targets.
Team Leadership: Supervise a diverse, cross-generational workforce, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and motivation across the team.
PPT Operations: Confidently operate and oversee the use of Powered Pallet Trucks (PPT) in daily warehouse tasks.
Stock Management: Ensure the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, while maintaining stock integrity and meeting customer delivery expectations.
Health & Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations, conducting regular checks, and addressing any risks or hazards promptly.
Performance Monitoring: Track and report on KPIs, ensuring that all team members meet their individual and collective targets.
Problem Solving: Quickly and effectively address any operational issues or breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to shift activities.
Training & Development: Provide coaching, support, and training to team members, identifying development needs and encouraging a positive work culture.
Communication: Act as the key point of contact between warehouse operatives and senior management, ensuring clear and consistent communication.Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
Valid PPT Licence and strong experience in operating pallet trucks.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a cross-generational team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Knowledge of warehouse operations, including stock control and health & safety regulations.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
Competency with warehouse management systems (WMS) is advantageous.Working Conditions:

Working in a chilled environment (cold storage).
12-hour shifts, 4 days on, 4 days off (6am to 6pm).
