Construction Planner

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join a reputable main contractor based in Central Scotland. The successful candidate will work alongside the wider project team to develop, maintain, and monitor project programmes to ensure successful delivery of projects in line with agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain detailed and accurate project programmes for construction projects of varying size and complexity
Ensure programmes are optimised to maximise project efficiency, productivity, and safety
Liaise with project managers, site managers, subcontractors and consultants to ensure programmes and schedules are understood and adhered to
Attend and contribute to regular progress meetings, reporting on project progress and performance against KPIs
Identify, monitor and report on project risks and opportunities, implementing appropriate mitigating actions where required
Review design and construction documents to ensure programme compliance and identify potential conflicts or constraints
Continuously review and monitor project programmes to ensure they are up to date and accurately reflect project statusEssential Requirements:
Proven track record in a planning role within the construction industry, ideally within a main contracting environment
Experienced user of either Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject
Strong knowledge and understanding of construction methodologies and processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with a range of stakeholders
Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise tasks and manage workload
Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as requiredDesirable Requirements:
Relevant construction qualification such as a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
