Equans Data Centres are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager – Electrical, to support our growing Data Centre business in Newport.

We are committed to providing cutting edge solutions for our clients Data Centre facilities and are recruitment a Senior Project Manager – Electrical to join our innovative team. The Senior Project Manager – Electrical will be responsible for managing a team and the electrical aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, to high quality standards and within health and safety guidelines.

The Role

* Manage a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.

* Be an expert and provide guidance and direction to ensure operational excellence.

* Coordinate and control the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan.

* Develop and agree electrical submission and approval process with the client and design team.

* Support the overall programming and planning of the build.

* Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports.

* Chair and minute the subcontractor meetings.

* Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.

* Operational support including review of procedures, best practices and initiatives.

Who we are looking for?

* Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor

* Proven people management experience of managing teams

* Have the ability to mentor and develop team members

* Proven technical knowledge of Electrical Services

* Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve

* Be self-motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines

* Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients

* Attention to Health and Safety matters

* Commercially astute

* Experience in the data centres sector is desirable

* Degree of equivalent in an Electrical discipline is desirable
