About the Role:
Are you an experienced quantity surveyor with a passion for high-quality craftsmanship and bespoke projects? We’re working with a well-established and growing specialist joinery company, seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee cost management and play a leading role in delivering exceptional projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the financial success of bespoke joinery projects. You’ll manage costs with precision, collaborate with skilled craftsmen, and build lasting relationships with clients. Here’s what your role will involve:

Cost Management & Reporting:

* Taking ownership of project budgets, ensuring cost control and value optimisation.

* Preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, variations, and final accounts specific to bespoke joinery.

* Managing risk and opportunity assessments, providing accurate financial reporting to stakeholders.

Team Collaboration & Development:

* Supporting and mentoring junior team members, helping them develop their understanding of specialist joinery projects.

* Collaborating closely with design and production teams to align project goals with financial objectives.

Client Relationships:

* Acting as the main commercial point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and professional communication throughout the project lifecycle.

* Attending client meetings, including pre-contract and project reviews, to ensure alignment on costs, timelines, and quality expectations.

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with experience in bespoke joinery or fit-out projects, ideally.

* A strong track record in cost management, contract negotiation, and final accounts within specialist sectors.

* Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and support colleagues.

* Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills, with the confidence to build lasting relationships.

* Strategic thinking and attention to detail to identify risks and opportunities in bespoke projects.
