Quality Assurance Technician

Salary: £14.93phr

Location: Northampton (NN3)

Contract: 10-month FTC (Maternity Cover)

Hours: 6am - 1pm & 1pm - 8pm (Weekly Rotating)

Benefits: 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays

The Role

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will work closely with the production team to maintain and enhance product quality. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Quality Assurance: Investigate, analyse, and resolve quality issues.
Technical Support: Provide support to the production department.
Documentation: Maintain QA records and procedures.
Laboratory Management: Ensure laboratory supplies and equipment are maintained.
Data Analysis: Analyse and report on quality trends.
Product Testing: Conduct analysis, development, and testing of products, raw materials, and packaging.
Trial Monitoring: Monitor, analyse, and report on technical trials.
Supplier Liaison: Manage and process supplier complaints.

The Person

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

Experience in quality assurance within a fast-paced, demanding environment, with familiarity in the tasks outlined above.
Ideally, a degree-level education with strong skills in Maths and Sciences, or equivalent QA experience, preferably in a related industry.
Familiarity with modern testing methods and analytical techniques.
Strong IT skills.
High attention to detail, excellent numeracy, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

Desirable Skills and Experience

Experience in similar / relevant industries.
Up-to-date knowledge of laboratory and QA methods.
