Warrington, United Kingdom CV-Library Full time

We are working with a development business, who specialise in residential schemes across the UK, building new homes of Traditional Build and Timber Frame construction. Due to continued expansion, they are looking for an experienced National Quality Assurance Manager.

A hybrid role, you will be ideally based in the Kent / Sussex or Essex with easy access to motorway networks and will oversee sites nationally. You will cover sites in Kent, Suffolk, Leeds, Manchester and Durham. You will have full autonomy and manage your own diary.

Not frequently, but from time to time you will be required to stay away from home overnight, but again this is down to your own discretion.

Reporting to both business Operations Directors for the North and South of England, you will manage a team of 5 Quality Managers across the UK.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Developing QM Policies and Procedures: Establishing and implementing QM policies, procedures, and standards that align with company best practices.

• Quality Planning: Developing quality plans for construction projects, including defining quality criteria, inspection and testing protocols, and quality assurance checkpoints.

• Quality Control: Overseeing the execution of quality control processes throughout the construction project lifecycle, including monitoring workmanship, materials, and compliance with specifications.

• Evaluating and selecting reliable vendors and suppliers of construction materials and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.

• Provide training and guidance to construction teams on quality assurance processes, standards, and best practices to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

• Risk Management: Identifying potential quality risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, such as conducting risk assessments, implementing preventive measures, and addressing issues promptly.

• Quality Inspections and Audits: Conducting regular inspections, audits, and quality reviews of construction activities, processes, and deliverables to verify compliance with quality standards and contractual requirements.

• Document Control: Managing documentation related to quality assurance activities, including maintaining records of inspections, test results, non-conformities, corrective actions, and quality assurance reports.

• Non-Conformance Management: Investigating non-conformities, defects, and quality issues, and leading efforts to implement corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.

• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborating with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives, requirements, and expectations. Facilitating clear and effective communication regarding quality-related matters.

• Continuous Improvement: Monitoring quality performance metrics, analysing data trends, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and quality enhancements across projects.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, regulations, and industry certifications applicable to construction projects.

Required:

• Extensive experience operating in a Quality Management role ideally with a Residential Developer / Main Contractor with a residential element.

• Ability to produce Quality Management Plans and enforce them.

On offer:

Car allowance of £6500
