Our client are leading electromechanical service providers, due to expansion they are recruiting for a Machinist to join their busy team

Machinist Roles and Responsibilities:

* Read and work from CAD drawings, determining appropriate machine settings to operate lathes and mills

* Use precision measuring tools to take measurements for cutting, shaping, and for inspecting completed components

* Completes calculations quickly, such as dimensions and tolerances of material

* Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs

* Maintains safe operation of equipment by adhering to safety protocols and regulations

* Be available for call out shift or overtime as directed by the Workshop Manager

The ideal Machinist will:

* Proven experience in engineering/manufacturing background

* Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly

* Knowledge of speeds and feeds

* Ability to read blueprints and measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers and vernier

* Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE

* Experience using variety of materials e.g. steel, aluminium and plastic

* Good literacy and maths skills
