IT Director, Property & Facilities Services, Permanent, Central London, £90k-£125k+benefits – Hybrid Working

Our client is a property and facilities group with over 2000 locations in the United Kingdom, including schools, hospitals, defence, and retail.

The company is owned by private equity, and the investors see technology and digital innovation as critical to gaining the edge over competitors in the market.

The position of IT Director reports directly to the CEO and is a full member of the Board. Following the recent acquisition and business turnaround, the newly hired IT Director will be responsible for the transformation of IT, business technology, and digital areas of the business.

This will entail the implementation of Agile, the evaluation and selection of third-party IT partners, and the creation of a digital strategy for the company.

The IT Director will direct and lead the IT team of approximately 25 people, which includes developers, support staff, a helpdesk, and project managers. The IT Director will also be in charge of managing relationships with third-party suppliers and service providers.

We seek an IT Director with the following experience and attributes:

· A minimum of 5 years' experience in IT management, Head of IT, IT Director, or a similar IT leadership role.

· Must understand the needs of the business and have a solid technical foundation. The IT Director will bring together technology and digital resources to meet the needs of the business.

· Capable of building, leading, and developing IT teams by example.

· Capable of engaging at the highest levels, including the CEO and investors.

· Ideally degree qualified, although this is not essential

· A good understanding of best practice such as Agile.
