Experienced Cover Supervisor

Long-term role, full-time

November 2024 start

TeacherActive are looking for a  Cover Supervisors to assist with general cover in a mainstream Secondary School in Redditch. 

Pay rates between £90-£120 per full day, depending on experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be supervising a classroom of around 30-32 students while they complete pre-prepared work when their current teacher is absent. Your main duties will be to take registers and record any absences, keep students on task and make sure work is completed, students are safe, and the classroom is left tidy. You must have strong behavioural management and classroom management skills.  

The school are looking for an experienced, proactive and reliable Cover Supervisor to join them in November 2024 for a full-time, long-term supply position until February 2025 in the first instance.

To be successful for this role, you will require:

Excellent communication skills
Have a basic understanding of the National Curriculum
Over 12 months experience working as a Cover Supervisor
The ability to cover a variety of subjects
Passion for working in education
Self-motivated
Confidence to manage a classroom
Be able to commit to working school hours (8:30-3:30)

A dedicated Secondary Consultant will be available to also support and provide market leading advice whilst in the role.
