About the Role:
My client, a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across environmental, planning, and engineering sectors, is seeking a Planner to join their team in Stoke on Trent. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring planner to develop their career and work on a diverse range of projects within a supportive and collaborative environment. The role offers the chance to contribute to planning applications, assessments, and strategic planning advice for a variety of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and development proposals.
Conduct research, site appraisals, and planning assessments to support projects.
Provide advice on planning policy, land use, and development opportunities.
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure the progress of planning projects.
Support senior planners in delivering projects from inception to completion.
Prepare reports and documentation to meet planning requirements and regulations.
Stay up-to-date with current planning legislation and policy.Requirements:

A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
Ideally, MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) status or working towards it.
Some experience in town planning, either through education or previous work experience.
Good knowledge of planning legislation and policy.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in planning.Why Join?
