SEMH Teaching Assistant - Preston:

Prospero Teaching are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support children in an SEMH school near to Preston. You will be required to deliver person centred support to pupils who present high levels of challenging behaviours associated with SEMH issues.

The candidate must have experience working with children who display challenging behaviours, preferably with de-escalation training. The successful candidate will be keen to make a difference, being empathetic and understanding. You must be confident working on a 1-1 basis.

Hours: 8am-3pm
Type of Work: Temporary
Full time/Part time: Full time only
Start date: Jan 2025
End date: ongoing
Minimum rate of pay: £90 per day, depending on experienceExperience, Training and Qualifications:

Up to date Safeguarding training in the last year (desirable but training can be provided)
Previous experience with Team Teach training
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant is essentialTO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional referencesOTHER
