Job Advertisement: Estimator – Lincoln

Are you an experienced Estimator seeking a new challenge? Our client, a Tier 2 main contractor and multi-sector construction company, is experiencing significant growth and is looking to recruit two Estimators to join their expanding commercial team based in Lincoln.

With projects spanning across their Building Services division (project values from £300k to £3m) and their Major Works division (project values from £2m to £30m), this is a fantastic opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects. Our client is also open to considering applicants from alternative sectors such as industrial, rail, and refurbishment.

What’s on Offer?

Responsibilities of the Estimator:

In this role, you will:

1. Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects.

2. Analyse tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements.

3. Source and negotiate competitive quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

4. Evaluate project risks and incorporate contingencies into costings.

5. Prepare and submit tender documentation, ensuring alignment with client needs.

6. Support contract negotiations and finalisation with stakeholders.

7. Collaborate with commercial and project management teams to monitor and control budgets.

8. Maintain and update pricing and cost control databases.

9. Conduct post-project reviews to identify learnings and improve future bids.

10. Stay informed on market trends and industry developments to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
