A Dorset based manufacturing company are looking to recruit a multi skilled (electrically biased) Maintenance Engineer for their production facility based in the Poole / Bournemouth area.

As a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be part of a shift of 4 engineers to provide engineering support to the production area and who are responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems.

The site is part of a group of sites/businesses across the UK who are on a significant path for growth and development and so opportunities to progress are very real.

Role:

Multi skilled, either electrically or mechanically biased will be considered
Panama shift – Days and Nights (12 hour shifts)  5.15 – 17.15 and 17.15 – 5.15

Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:

Assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents / CMMS
Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements
Experience and skills required of Maintenance Engineer:

Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G’s or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
Multi skilled, electrically biased with some mechanical skills / experience
Apprenticeship trained
Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
Manufacturing / production experience required
