THE ROLE
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives? We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teacher to join our dynamic team, focusing on providing exceptional support for students with learning difficulties. There are a variety of students who require additional support, some conditions include but are not limited to:
- Non-Verbal / Speech Delay
- Visual Impairment
- Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
The role includes but is not limited to:
Cultivate a sense of belonging by actively promoting the inclusion of students within the broader classroom community. Encourage social interactions and empower them to excel in group activities.
Take the lead in implementing individualized education and behaviour plans, contributing significantly to the success and progress of our students.
Emphasize the importance of communication; collaborate seamlessly with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to establish a comprehensive support system for each student.
Serve as a mentor and friend, building positive and trusting relationships with students. Create a safe and nurturing space where they can thrive.
Demonstrate proficiency in behavioural intervention, transforming challenges into opportunities for growth through effective strategies and positive reinforcement.
