Our client, a leading legal practice based in Shrewsbury are hiring They pride themselves on their client-focused approach and commitment to excellence. As their firm continues to grow, they are seeking a meticulous and enthusiastic Legal Cashier to join their dynamic finance team.

The Role:

As a Legal Cashier, you will play a vital role in the smooth financial operation of their firm. Your responsibilities will include managing the client and office accounts, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules, and providing essential support to their solicitors and administrative staff. You will be the linchpin in maintaining their high standards of financial management and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

– Accurately process client and office payments, receipts, and transfers.

– Conduct daily bank reconciliations and manage banking duties.

– Monitor and manage client account balances, ensuring compliance with SRA rules.

– Liaise with solicitors and clients to resolve account queries promptly.

– Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end processes.

– Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

– Previous experience as a Legal Cashier is essential.

– Strong knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules and legal accounting principles.

– Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

– Proficiency in legal accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.

– Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

– AAT qualified or working towards.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

What We Offer:

– A starting salary of up to £28,500 dependent on experience.

– Office based full-time permanent role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday – 9am until 5pm with 1 hour for lunch (flexibility on work times may be provided).
