Position: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Lambeth
Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join an outstanding team, providing essential support to a child with a range of needs, including autism, learning delays, non-verbal communication, and hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized, one-on-one support to the child, using customized learning techniques and engaging activities.
  • Facilitate communication through alternative methods such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that meets the child's sensory needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure a well-rounded approach to the child's growth.
  • Track progress, provide consistent feedback, and assist in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
