huntingdonshire, United Kingdom Insight Executive Group (IEG) Full time
Job Description

Overview

Insight Executive Group is proud to partner with North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust to source candidates for two key Senior Project Manager roles within the Hinchingbrooke Hospital Redevelopment Programme (HHRP). These are exceptional opportunities to be at the forefront of a transformative healthcare initiative, contributing to the creation of state-of-the-art facilities that will set new standards in patient care and sustainability.

We are hiring for two distinct Senior Project Manager positions:

  • Senior Project Manager – Multi-Storey Car Park
  • Senior Project Manager – Administration, Education, and Research Centre

Both opportunities involve providing construction and commercial leadership, overseeing project teams, and ensuring compliance with best practices. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering significant benefits to the community and ensuring the HHRP meets the highest governance standards, public accountability, and quality benchmarks.

Opportunity 1: Senior Project Manager – Multi-Storey Car Park

Key Project Deliverables:

  • Lead the construction of a new multi-storey car park that aligns with the Trust’s car parking strategy and meets the hospital’s parking needs throughout construction and ongoing operation.
  • Include EV charging points with appropriate fire suppression measures, flood attenuation, and landscaping.
  • Provide temporary road access into the hospital site and establish a suitable contractor’s compound.
  • Facilitate on-site access for construction traffic to support the broader enabling works programmes.

The capital value of projects associated with this role: £32 million

Opportunity 2: Senior Project Manager – Administration, Education, and Research Centre

Key Project Deliverables:

  • Oversee the construction of a combined Administration, Education, and Research Centre (including simulation) to provide decant space for other services during the enabling works.
  • Ensure the centre meets the needs of the Trust, supporting the hospital's goals for staff development, research, and education.

The capital value of projects associated with this role: £45 million

Key Responsibilities for Both Roles:

  • Provide strategic construction and commercial leadership for the Enabling Works Programme, ensuring alignment with NHS sustainability and Net Zero targets.
  • Oversee the development and management of project teams, ensuring effective delivery and adherence to best practices.
  • Manage procurement processes for construction and commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with government frameworks and delivering best value for money.
  • Develop and implement integrated governance and risk management plans for the projects, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
