Position: Senior Mechanical Quantity Surveyor

About company:

1986 was the year when our journey started in Turkey. Today, we're one of the leading MEP contracting companies with the capacity to deliver a wide scope of services to a broad range of customers around the world. Over 35 years, we carried out more than 200 MEP contracting projects, in a total area of over 13 million m2 in three continents and 14 countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all costs relating to the project, from the initial calculations to the final figures and seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality,
  • When the project is in progress, he/she keeps track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and profitability,
  • Provide advice on contractual claims,
  • Identifying, analyzing, and developing responses to commercial risks,
  • Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes,
  • Carry out full construction take off, prepare construction cost plan, track costs and labor efficiency throughout the project,
  • Prepare and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts and manage through to final account,
  • Prepare timely and accurate assessments/payment certs/payless notices for sub-contractors each month,
  • Prepare and submit valuations and final accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Quantity Surveying,
  • Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveyor experience in MEP projects,
  • Experience in NEC Contracts, and industry standards,
  • Commercial knowledge,
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills,
  • Preferable to have Factory or Industrial Plant Experience.
