The position of Class 1 Night Trunk Driver involves:

  • This will involve trunking between various depots, making multi-drop collections and deliveries within the Pallet Network.
  • Loading and unloading of vehicle using a LST and double deck trailer.
  • Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.

Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver:

  • Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of using double deck trailers is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.
