Consents Officer: focussing in the Renewable Energy Sector
Home and Site Based: Covering the South and South East of England
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate wayleaves and easements with landowners for new electrical distribution infrastructure.
- Coordinate meetings with landowners and conduct detailed photographic condition surveys.
- Evaluate and negotiate compensation claims related to losses and disturbances with landowners and third-party representatives, often concerning agricultural crop losses.
- Arrange access for both intrusive and non-intrusive site surveys.
- Represent the company during visits to clients and landowners.
- Maintain flexibility and adapt to the company’s evolving needs by taking on additional tasks within your capability as required, without additional compensation.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support to graduates in their roles.
- Demonstrate a willingness to participate in role-specific training.
- A valid UK driving license is required, along with the flexibility to work varying types of jobs, times, and locations.
Qualifications and Desirable Experience:
- Ideally pursuing RICS qualification, with knowledge of farming and commercial sectors.
- Required experience or knowledge of the UK utilities industry.
- Familiarity with the Electricity Act 1989 and the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
- Proficiency in using HMLR systems.
- Experience working with GIS-based mapping systems.
