We are currently seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join our clients dynamic team. Our client is an established, family-run Mechanical Sub-Contractor.


About the Role

As an M&E Estimator, you will be part of an experienced estimating team, preparing mechanical estimates ranging in value from £100,000 to £5 million. This role is open to individuals with varying levels of experience, and the salary package will reflect this accordingly. If you're a proactive and driven individual with a passion for construction and ready to make an immediate impact, we'd love to hear from you


Responsibilities

  • Preparing tenders to a high standard
  • Reviewing project drawings and specifications to assess overall costs
  • Securing competitive and accurate quotations from mechanical specialists
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering
  • Collaborating with the estimating team and project managers to meet project requirements
  • Completing estimates using electronic packages
  • Building relationships with design consultants, main contractors, and clients to ensure clear communication



Required Skills:

  • Proven track record as an Estimator within the construction industry
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in IT and comfortable using various software
  • Experience with estimating software


Pay range and compensation package:

  • Company vehicle
  • 22 days holiday (exclusive of bank holidays), with additional holiday after service
  • Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 5:00 pm
