PT Renewables is partnered with a growing consultancy looking for Senior Ecologists to join a vibrant, close-knit team in the heart of the beautiful Gloucestershire.
You'll be joining a unique business with an in-house habitats team, meaning as an ecologists, you'll have the rare opportunity to see their designs transform into reality on the ground.
From major infrastructure projects to specialist conservation initiatives, we鈥檙e looking for people who take pride in their work and want to make a genuine impact.
The Role
As a Senior Ecologist, you鈥檒l lead complex projects, mentor your team, and collaborate closely with clients.
You鈥檒l have the chance to specialise in areas you鈥檙e passionate about, whether that鈥檚 botany, ornithology, or bats.
They're specifically expanding their Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) services, so if you鈥檙e excited about pioneering projects that enhance our natural world, this is the place for you.
Your day-to-day
- Managing projects from start to finish
- High-level technical report writing
- Engaging with clients, preparing quotes, and managing budgets
- Leading and mentoring survey teams, both in-house and external
- Conducting advanced surveys and ensuring the quality of work
- Contributing to the Ecology Team鈥檚 vision and growth strategy
About you
- Proven project management skills and a strategic mindset
- Senior-level experience in technical report writing
- Expertise in UK and European environmental legislation
- Experience in fee proposals and resource planning
- Specialist skills (e.g., botany, bats, aquatic ecology) are a plus, as are survey licenses and BNG metric experience
