Class 1 Driver

Monday To Sunday, Working 5 out 7 Days Start time are between 04:30 and 08:00

Pay Rate: £16.00 - £18.28 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Birmingham, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

The driver will be trunking to and from depots.

Day to Day Duties

  • Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Essential Skills

  • Hold a valid UK CE Licence
  • Have at least 12 months experience driving/operating Class 1 vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes
  • Have a valid UK CPC Card and Digi Card
  • Punctuality and good time-keeping skills
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines

Desirable Experience

  • Good Communications skills.
