As a reputable name in the datacentre industry, we take pride in our hands-on approach to managing and maintaining the critical infrastructure that supports our clients' operations.

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join our small, close-knit team. In this role, you will be at the core of our day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our datacentre. Your responsibilities will include providing technical remote hands assistance to customers, supporting our critical infrastructure through daily walkaround checks, performing rack and derack requests, swapping hardware components, troubleshooting network connections, and delivering any other necessary support to keep the datacentre running optimally.

  • Inventory Management: Ensure the accuracy of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by maintaining up-to-date records of all onsite equipment, including inventory items.
  • Facility Maintenance: Execute both routine and ad-hoc maintenance, installations, and migrations across the site, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain and continuously improve on-site documentation to ensure clarity and accessibility for all team members.
  • Monitoring: Proactively monitor systems to identify potential issues before they become critical, ensuring the highest level of operational efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Fulfill smart-hands requests and provide remedial support for customers, including system reboots and checks.
  • Security Compliance: Adhere strictly to physical security procedures and policies to maintain the safety and integrity of the datacentre environment.

Willingness to work a 4-on, 4-off continental shift pattern, alternating between 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am, including weekends and bank holidays.
