united kingdom Orri Full time

Why Orri?

Orri is an ambitious, young, fast-growing company committed to changing the way we treat eating disorders in the UK. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Therapist in eating disorders at Orri, who would be based in our day-care clinic.

At the heart of our approach is a commitment to working collaboratively;
providing expert, evidence-based and innovative treatment with kindness and compassion at its core.

Role Overview:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be expected to carry out all relevant forms of care in partnership with clients and other professionals in line with agreed standards, clinical polices and without direct supervision. In addition to this, you will be expected to be closely involved in discharge planning and immediate follow up from the service user care.

Our Occupational Therapists are expected to manage clients using evidence based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions which provide clients with the confidence, skills and coping strategies required for independent living. We are looking for a candidate who is experienced and doesn't mind working on its own.

Desired Skills and Expertise:

  • Holds a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy together with a full BVAOT membership and HPC registration.
  • Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
  • Previous post registration experience of working with clients who have had an eating disorder or other mental health condition.
  • Experience of group interventions.
  • Experience in supervising junior staff, which may include qualified staff.
  • Highly developed communication and negotiation staff.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrates the ability to critically evaluate current research and apply to practice.
  • Review and reflect on own practice and performance through effective use of professional and operational supervision and appraisal.

Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday work pattern.
  • 33 days annual leave (pro rata) including bank holidays and the service closure over Christmas.
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption package.
  • Comprehensive induction and commitment to ongoing training.
  • Online benefits and cashback rewards schemes.
  • Contributory pension scheme with salary sacrifice options.
  • Free Statutory and Mandatory Training.
  • Free professional development and CPD certified training.
  • Two annual corporate events plus additional social events throughout the year.
