The Role:
Our client seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Solicitor at associate level with 1-4 years post-qualification experience (PQE) to join their expanding in-house team.
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support across a broad spectrum of commercial matters, working with a diverse client base, including large financial service organisations and various household names in the retail sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, service agreements, terms and conditions, NDAs, and risk reviews.
- Advisory Services: Provide high-quality strategic legal advice on commercial transactions and compliance matters while mitigating commercial and legal risk.
- Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business objectives, and delivering tailored legal solutions.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legal developments to provide informed advice to clients.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members and departments within the firm to deliver integrated legal services and support the design of effective legal solutions for our clients.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified to practice in England and Wales with 1-4 years PQE.
- Experience in commercial law, having completed a commercial seat.
- Procurement law.
- Proven commercial contracts experience, either in-house or in private practice.

- Commercial Expertise: Solid understanding of commercial law and experience handling a variety of commercial transactions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey legal concepts clearly and effectively.

- Client Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, and work effectively with clients of varying seniority.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using legal technology and adapting to new tools and systems.
- Collaboration: A proactive and supportive team player, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Adaptability: Ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
