Job Profile:
As Group Technical Manager, you will play a critical role in steering the technical
direction of land acquisitions and development projects. In this senior-level position, you will oversee technical assessments, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide strategic guidance on project feasibility, risk management, and cost optimisation. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of regulatory standards and industry best practices who can drive high-stakes projects from concept through execution.
Duties:
  • Conduct in-depth technical assessments for potential land acquisitions, including detailed site visits to evaluate geotechnical conditions, infrastructure, and any site constraints or opportunities.
  • Analyse and interpret technical site reports, providing insight and solutions for optimal project planning and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to assess technical risks, develop strategic recommendations, and drive solutions.
  • Lead cost planning and viability assessments for site preparation, infrastructure development, and remediation with a strong focus on cost savings and efficiency.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive technical reports for executive teams, presenting findings and strategies for project advancement.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of industry regulations, environmental policies, and technological advancements to guide best practices across all projects.

Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience in technical leadership within the residential development or land acquisition sector.
  • Deep understanding of due diligence, regulatory requirements, environmental policies, and risk management within property development.
  • Proven track record as a problem-solver, with the ability to lead and make critical decisions that impact project viability and outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engagement with senior executives and technical teams.
  • Advanced skills in CAD/GIS and other relevant technical software, along with a strategic approach to using these tools for high-level project planning.
