Consultant in Gastroenterology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist with a passion for hepatology to join our dynamic team at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Gastroenterology Team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working closely with our existing team of nine Consultants in Gastroenterology to deliver excellent patient care and outcomes.
- Performing all aspects of diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI Endoscopy.
- Participating in audit and clinical governance activities to ensure the highest standards of care.
- Contributing to the training and education of junior medical staff and other healthcare professionals.
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient care and outcomes in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- MRCP or equivalent qualification.
- Entry on the Specialist Register for G(I)M and Gastroenterology or within six months of CCT.
- Recent experience in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
