Audit Director

We are seeking an experienced Audit Director to join our team at BDO UK. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across various sectors, including charities, housing, and education.
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality audit work, ensuring that our clients receive accurate and transparent reporting. You will work closely with our partners and other audit managers to implement and communicate new business initiatives.
As a leader in our team, you will be responsible for recruiting, retaining, developing, and motivating our employees. This includes participating in graduate recruitment, ensuring job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines, and developing appropriate objectives and development plans for our team members.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of clients across various sectors, including charities, housing, and education.
- Deliver high-quality audit work, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting.
- Work closely with partners and other audit managers to implement and communicate new business initiatives.
- Recruit, retain, develop, and motivate employees.
- Participate in graduate recruitment and ensure job appraisal documentation is completed within deadlines.
- Develop appropriate objectives and development plans for team members.
- Act as an ambassador for the firm, participating in office marketing events and staying up-to-date with the firm's services.
- Act as a role model for trainees and executives.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a good working knowledge of UK and International GAAS, IFRS, UK GAAP, and Financial Reporting requirements. You will also need to have experience of systems/controls testing, substantive auditing, and project management.
